Grand Banks Fishing circa 1830
As well as current marine scenes, Yves also creates many historical oil paintings reflecting days gone by from the fishing fleets that worked the Grand Banks to the old steam tugs used in the waters around New York City. These historical paintings capture both the romance and the danger involved when seafaring was at it's height.
The Atlantic Enterprise - Private Commission
As time permits, Yves is also available for commission work. Often painted for large shipping companies around the world, these beautiful marine oil paintings reflect individual ships or entire fleets within the harsh environment they contend with in the course of their work.
